GLAMOUR is now looking for a passionate and knowledgeable beauty, fashion & lifestyle journalist to work on expanding and professionalising GLAMOUR’s product reviews and e-commerce content. Affiliate Marketing is a growing revenue channel for many digital publishers. This role will be responsible for establishing and growing this channel at Glamour. The writer should produce content with a focus on metrics that drive revenue growth, such as Click Through Rate, Conversion Rate, Average Order Value and Commission Rate (CPA). Ultimately, the successful candidate will need to bring products to life for GLAMOUR’s digital audience: what’s worth buying and why. The successful candidate will be organised, have a strong eye for detail and be up-to-speed on all the latest developments in the beauty, lifestyle and fashion industry – trends, news, retail landscape and product launches across all categories. The candidate will be responsible for writing new product guides and reviews and creating and updating product galleries, while ensuring that GLAMOUR’s archive of product-related content is up-to-date and in line with e-commerce content best practice. The candidate will also be responsible for developing content to coincide with major sales events (e.g. Black Friday). Familiarity with affiliate marketing is a bonus; a clear passion and enthusiasm for beauty and all other topics covered by the GLAMOUR brand is a must.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Write, edit and maintain product buying guide pages
  • Source products and write reviews in partnership GLAMOUR editorial team
  • Work with the editorial team to cover major product launches
  • Work with Conde Nast’s central Audience Growth team to monitor and increase revenue from product pages while ensuring adherence to affiliate marketing best practices
  • Monitor online retailers for deals of interest to the GLAMOUR audience
  • Assist the digital editorial team in day-to-day tasks where necessary
  • Lead coverage of major sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday
  • Generate ideas for promoting product and commerce content on social media, newsletters and beyond.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • One or more years’ experience in beauty, fashion and lifestyle journalism or closely related fields
  • Strong and expansive knowledge of beauty products across all categories
  • Knowledge of basic SEO principles and best practice
  • Ability to write clean, engaging copy without resorting to jargon
  • Organised and methodical approach to work.
