Closing date: 24th February 2019
How will you tell our story?
Joining our central Communications Team, it would be your role to do just that, assisting the team with telling the Penguin Random House story in creative and compelling ways.
Every day, almost 2,000 people come to work for Penguin Random House in the UK, from cover designers to production specialists. This new role will support the Internal Communications Manager and wider team to ensure that our colleagues are up to speed with the latest company news, connected to each other across multiple teams, sites and channels, and inspired about our brand and purpose.
You’ll be responsible for coordinating exciting colleague events and initiatives and keeping our intranet updated with useful and engaging content. When we need to tell our story to the outside world, you’ll also need to be on hand to support press and digital communications too.
With previous experience in communications, you’ll know how to write and edit engaging newsletters, marketing copy and press releases and understand how to assess and report data. Experience using a web content management system such as AEM or Wordpress would be useful too, as would exposure to using design programmes to create posters or infographics.
You don't need to have worked in publishing before, but we’re looking for someone who enjoys engaging with the media and is passionate about the importance of books and reading. You’ll be proactive, able to prioritise your own daily tasks, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Working with people across the business, you’ll need to be a people person, able to build positive relationships and communicate effectively.
If this sounds like you, apply with a CV and cover letter by 24th February.
