Job Description

The Marketing & Communications Executive will be responsible for planning, producing and overseeing the execution of marketing and communications activities for Universal International Studios and its Formats division, NBCUniversal Formats.Reporting to the VP, Communications & SVP, Format Sales & Production, they will provide support on implementing marketing plans for the businesses.The Executive will be tasked with creating and managing materials to promote the businesses, their talent, content and franchises to external stakeholders. Working with creative designers and agencies, they will be responsible for delivering the best-in-class materials including mailers, presentations, branding, ads, catalogues and digital promo assets.With the support of the Universal International Studios Communications team and Formats Coordinator, they will plan and oversee the studio and NBCUniversal Formats’ presence at key UK and global markets, conferences and festivals, including MIPCOM, Content London, Berlinale and Series Mania to name a few. They will also help coordinate and plan bespoke events such as receptions, showrunner summits, workshops, content showcases and sales presentations.The Executive will also be responsible for tracking and managing award submissions for NBCUniversal Formats’ content and franchises. They will also offer support to the Formats coordinator in amplifying key award wins, achievements and milestones across social media and wider business channels including newsletters and internal platforms.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Help plan the studio and NBCUniversal Formats’ presence at key markets, conferences and festivals by developing marketing plans/assets and helping to coordinate logistics
  • Help plan and coordinate bespoke events such as summits, workshops, showcases, etc.
  • Contribute to marketing plans for the studio and NBCUniversal Formats’ priority titles and franchises
  • Oversee the creation and design of materials to promote our global talent and content
  • Be a brand ambassador and ensure the consistency and standards of brand executions across multiple platforms incl. online, social, print, etc.
  • Deliver a high standard of copywriting for all marketing and promo materials
  • Oversee and manage NBCUniversal Formats website development, brand materials and content asset management with the support of the NBCUniversal Formats coordinator and intern
  • Track and manage global award submissions for NBCUniversal Formats’ content and franchises
  • Be the main point of contact for all NBCUniversal Formats’ marketing and branding matters with internal and external partners including producers, broadcasters, networks, SVODs, designers, agencies, exhibitors and vendors
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders and partners including the Universal International Studios and
  • Universal Studio Group marketing & communications teams to ensure marketing and communications activities are aligned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Previous experience in marketing or corporate communications (TV, media and entertainment companies strongly preferred)
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
