The original youth travel company, Contiki Holidays is on the hunt for a 1st class Copywriter to join their Digital Web Agency (BS&T). This is a contract (self-employed, umbrella company or via Limited Co.) role for 2-3 months with an immediate start and great day rates for the right candidate!

You will need to be a truly incredible writer with the ability to understand nuances in tone of voice, and how to adapt your writing style for both audience and purpose. On any given day, you could be writing a long form thought piece article for our editorial content site six-two, creating website content with the intention to convert our audience, pulling together a video script or writing a destination feature for SEO, so the ability to switch styles on a knife edge and juggle multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
Work within the Contiki Marketing Lab alongside the editorial, video and social teams, reporting to the Content Manager.
Write content for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to editorial, brand messaging, product copy, email, video scripts, paid media assets and SEO content.
Contribute monthly article ideas for our editorial content site six-two, that will resonate with our digitally savvy millennial and Gen Z audience.
Edit and publish content submitted from our community of content creators across the globe, ensuring content is properly optimised with keywords and works to SEO best practice.
Act as a copy guardian, ensuring all published content is in the appropriate Contiki tone of voice.
Work on other ad hoc tasks across editorial, social and video as required.

Be able to hit the ground running. We’re a team that moves quickly, juggling multiple projects and priorities at once, so the ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast paced, creative environment.
Be a first class writer who understands how to adapt tone of voice, can write quickly, and is a stickler for grammar. If you don’t know ‘your’ from ‘you’re’, you’re in the wrong place.
Have experience writing content for SEO, and is aware of SEO best practices and principles.
Have a creative mind, understands what content works (and what doesn’t) for millennials and Gen Z’s, and is able to craft ideas backed up with research as to why they will work/resonate.
Have the ability to work independently when needed. We want someone confident in their abilities, with the ability to deliver the goods.
Be an avid content consumer, actively engaged with brands and media, and be obsessed with travel, popular culture and a touch of the weird and wonderful.
Have 3-5 years of experience as either a freelance writer, in a marketing role, or working for a content lead brand.
Be someone looking to make their mark, who loves a sociable, fun, and travel obsessed work place.
