World of Interiors is looking for an exceptionally talented, dynamic and hard-working Creative Director to join its team, during an exciting turning point for the magazine.m
Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, the role will be responsible for creating innovative and beautiful design for the magazine and all it’s online platforms.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Art Director and Art Editor’s and will have excellent contacts with UK and international photographers, illustrators and stylists.
Previous experience working in Interiors as well as across Digital platforms is essential.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • In charge of the Creative direction (visuals and design) of the magazine and all online platforms.
  • Work both independently and with editorial and freelance stylists on imaginative concepts for presenting product in the magazine and online.
  • Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief, Art Director and Art Editors to produce great layouts and adhere to the workflow.
  • Working closely with and coordinating both staff and freelance stylists on concepts for content.
  • Ensuring all pages are checked thoroughly before they are sent to press – including checking proofs and sherpas – and liaising with the Production and Repro team.
  • Overseeing the commission of shoots for the magazine.
  • Working closely with the Art team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain the exceptional standards of The World of Interiors brand.
  • Suggest stories for content; being connected to the world of interiors and exposed to interesting potential material.
Essential Skills & Requirements
  • High proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and InDesign is essential.
  • Digital experience across a variety of platforms is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of magazine design, typography, photography and illustration.
  • Top contacts – designers, stylists, illustrators and photographers – within the magazine industry.
  • Meticulous eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to think laterally and creatively to come up with great design solutions quickly and efficiently in a demanding and challenging environment.
  • Extremely well organised and good at managing and juggling projects – big and small.
