Creative Responsibility Assistant (3 months FTC)Penguin Random House UK

Do you want to make a difference? Are you a motivated self-starter who is good at building relationships?  Are you looking for interesting and inspiring project work?
If so, come join our Creative Responsibility team and help them deliver one of the most exciting events of the year.
Other companies talk about corporate responsibility. At Penguin Random House UK we talk about Creative Responsibility – because we put creativity at the heart of everything we do.
Penguin Random House Presents is the annual celebration of our books and the people behind them, with over 1,000 Penguin Random House UK employees coming together for the greatest publishing show of the year. Taking place on World Book Day (1 March) we have an exciting opportunity to involve all our colleagues in celebrating books and reading in communities during the morning of the event
Whether that’s delivering a book quiz in a local primary school, or inspiring young people to consider publishing as a career option, the team will be responsible for identifying volunteering opportunities at-scale and delivering this activity, including managing the sign up process and communications.
You will support the Head of Creative Responsibility  andCreative Responsibility Co-ordinator to deliver this activity to a high standard, focusing primarily on administrative and organisational support.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised and can work effectively under pressure.  As a fixed-term contract, the assistant will join the team from January until shortly after the event itself at the beginning of March. We’re hoping to welcome someone to the team who is able to manage a range of competing pressures on their time, and manage multiple tasks at once.
You don’t need to have previous experience, but we ideally want someone who is a good communicator and can build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as Penguin Random House colleagues, schools and charity partners.
If you’re a motivated self-starter who thrives on seeing projects through to completion then please get in touch with a CV and Covering Letter by Sunday 10thDecember.
