As a cut-out stylist you will provide sophisticated, high-end product still life styling for the Harvey Nichols online shop. You will ensure images comply with the Harvey Nichols aesthetic and are commercially viable. You will have a strong eye for detail and provide eye catching styling whilst constantly improving the shopping experience at Harvey Nichols. com.
Style approximately 40 lay down still life shots that accurately depict clothing and that follow house styling guidelines and showcase our products in their best light.
Provides support and guidance to freelance cut-out stylists to make sure clothing is styled according to Harvey Nichols house standards.
Work with photographer to co-direct and select best images.
Strong, up-to-date knowledge of designers, brands, trends and Harvey Nichols competitors.
Ensure stock is not mishandled.
Take responsibility on set for any priority items and ensure these items are shot within deadline.
Proactive in suggesting improvements to studio processes and assist the Styling Team Leader and Styling Manager with implementation.
Where required take part in the prepping process of products e.g steaming to ensure efficiency on set.
May be required to work on set with a team if needed.
Ensure no more than 2% of your images are reshot per week, with 100% accurate product representation.
Responsible for own reshoots and coordinate as required with Styling Team Leader and Stock Controller.
Meet image deadlines for weekly uploads.
Capable of resolving complex issues when relevant and communicate workflow status and concerns to Styling Manager & Photography Manager.
Work with other members of the studio production team to ensure the photo studio is organized and ordered.
Studio experience and experience working with photographers and models.
The ability to style still life lay down shots whilst having an exceptional eye for visual composition, proportion and detail.
The ability to style strong on brand images on mannequin.
Able to work well and motivate as part of a team in a highly pressurised studio environment
A strong and thorough knowledge of designers and brands
Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines
Pro-active and able to show initiative and ideas to constantly improve the image quality of the site and studio processes
Team player – build relationships with other internal and external teams
