WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Serve a group of data scientists & product analysts as manager through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and career development
  • Immersed in the details, helping guide and upskilling the team
  • Build cohesive, high-functioning cross-functional teams that thrive in a culture of trust, respect and kindness
  • Ensure your teams are consistently and iteratively delivering high-impact, high-quality work by continuously assessing their approach and their process maturity
  • Drive analytics projects end-to-end in partnership with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions.
  • Shape the future of data science within Bumble by defining and executing strategies to attract and retain top talent and push data science competencies forward
  • Give leadership to other efforts that fit your passion and Bumble needs in collaboration with managers, scientists and product people across Bumble Tech
  • Collaborate with Product Management to establish roadmaps and define key metrics to optimise for aligned with Bumbled strategic objectives
WE’D LOVE TO MEET SOMEONE WITH
  • A degree in Mathematics, Data Science or a similar quantitative discipline
  • Deep expertise in experimentation and A|B testing
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, managing and coaching data science teams
  • Passion for developing and growing people
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience using data to push forward product development
  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a fast-paced environment alongside scientists, engineers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to combine business intuition with the application of advanced solutions
  • A passion for keeping up with the latest ongoings in Data Science communities
  • A curious mind, self-starter and endlessly keen to learn and develop themselves professionally
