At this exciting and creative studio, the role of Design Director is a key player on the team, helping to lead strategy, copy, and design, collaborating with all teams to come up with some exciting and outside-of-the-box ideas.

Incredible work and design should be not just what you do, but what you are passionate about, both inside and outside of the office. Looking for someone who can truly inspire others and help them to develop big ideas through edgy and exciting creativity.

Client interaction is also a big part of this role, and you should enjoy cultivating those partnerships, discussing the work with clients, and truly having an excellent relationship with the clients, really understanding what they’re looking for and being able to surpass expectations with creative delivery.

Who are we looking for? Someone who…
  • Has a degree / formal training in specific design discipline(s)/relevant experience and is experienced in leading a team
  • Leads a team to deliver amazing work, from conceptual ideas, through development, design, and completion of all work
  • Can be a partner with the senior team to ensure that the creative solution solves the client / brand need on the project
  • Can listen to, mentor, and guide the junior team members to learn and grow their skills and knowledge
  • Takes ownership of full project delivery, ensuring everyone involved is clear on the objectives, and can subsequently help to create a case study for each project
  • Plays an active role in new business, being involved in pitches and meeting with potential new clients
  • Is experienced with large scale clients (global / international a plus)
  • Can demonstrate a high quality portfolio that shows conceptual, crafted, and unique work, that shows versatility and isn’t afraid to experiment / test ideas
  • Is capable and confident running workshops (internal & client)
  • Presents creative work brilliantly; able to put a compelling and strategic presentation of work together and sell it
  • Is organised, good at time management, professional, but overall is enthusiastic, passionate, and positive, always bringing in a good vibe to the office
  • At least 8+ years of experience
