This role reports into the Global Client Lead for Diageo and will work side by side with another SAD working on either the Beer or the Spirit portfolio (depending on experience and client mapping).
The remit covers all elements and shopper channels you would expect from a leading edge shopper agency including, shopper campaigns / toolkits, retail environments, POS, experiential, digital activations, B2B, and digital commerce.
The role requires an ability to effectively manage a team, partnering with Project Management to ensure flawless delivery of on-time and on-budget projects with weekly and monthly financial reconciliation. This involves the smooth day to day running of the account and ensuring great creative ideas are executed professionally.
The Senior Account Director will also provide valuable input into the strategic and creative development of the client account to identify and progress new business opportunities with existing and potential clients. They will look after client relationships, commercial management and profitability, creative standards, strategic direction and initiatives.
Proven experience as a Senior Account Director from a leading shopper agency, you will be articulate and engaging and generally a natural in front of senior Clients
Strong, demonstrable background in shopper / retail marketing with experience with major UK brands, ideally in the FMCG / drinks industry.
Skilled in client facing situations, able to present work, take briefs and manage projects from conception to completion
Capable of thinking on your feet and ability to remain calm under pressure whilst managing multiple projects, across multiple brands.
Proven track record of managing the creative process working as a stand alone and as part of an inter agency team.
Understanding of retail channels and their digital eco-systems including supermarkets, cash and carry, convenience, discounters. European knowledge would be beneficial.
Understanding of the elements required to execute a campaign from client brief, to concept, to design, production and execution.
A great collaborator, able to bring teams together in the agency, as well as external partners and suppliers
Responsible for tight financial management and ownership across all projects
Excellent communication skills – understands the importance attached to positive client relationships and demonstrates an engaging an open style of communication.
Excellent organisational skills and sharp on detail and prioritises effectively.
Thorough understanding of brands and an appreciation of through-the-line brand communications along with different comms channels and their roles
Show initiative and a ‘can-do’ attitude and fun to work with.
Highly motivated and a self-starter that’s prepared to get stuck in where needed.
