Within Ocado Group sits Platform Implementation, whose mission is ‘to orchestrate the implementation of Ocado’s platforms globally’. This department focuses on the full programme management life cycle of the implementation of our highly automated, multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) - from pre-deal, through to the design, construction, installation, testing and ‘go-live’ phases (with all the process and portfolio management in between). This department is instrumental in ensuring we deliver these CFCs on time, to budget, and to the specific requirements of each client.
The Client Readiness team within Platform Implementation ensures the seamless delivery of the Ocado Smart Platform solution to our clients, encompassing testing, client training and client transition, resulting in successful final handover.
The Digital Developer is responsible for the creation of engaging digital content to support the onboarding and ongoing training/support of new and existing clients, in the UK and Internationally in the use of Ocado Smart Platform (OSP).
In collaboration with a wide range of internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, you will be instrumental in creating, coordinating and successfully delivering the ‘Digital first’ approach as we continue to grow at pace globally. An essential component of this role is managing the understanding the data and analytics this content will deliver, proactively working with the business and clients to gather feedback using a variety of collection points and using this insight to prioritise content development whether that’s new or updating existing.
Although this role is based within the Client Training team, there is an expectation that you’ll support the wider Client Readiness team to curate and develop digital content that’ll support their client interactions too.
Working collaboratively with the Client Training and Knowledge Transfer managers, carry out client TNA’s to understand their business and training requirements and clearly define/agree expectations and deliverables
Co-create (with the Client Training manager & client) a comprehensive training programme, with a ‘digital first’ approach
Design and develop digital training content at pace that’ll surprise and delight our UK and International clients and report (feedback, progression etc.) on an ongoing basis
Develop effective relationships with clients thereby enabling you to proactively work with them to collect and analyse their data (usage/feedback) to drive future enhancements in our training/learning offering
Communicate with clients on an ongoing basis to advise them on new training content/ updated releases to ensure they’re following current processes and best practice
Own the relationship with Ocado Subject Matter Experts and other internal stakeholders to develop training and other supporting content
Ensure there’s a consistent style, tone and quality of content that’s in line with Ocado brand guidelines
Represent the Client Training workstream in ongoing project programme meetings (as and when required)
UK & International travel to meet the requirements of this role
High calibre candidate with a proven track record of designing and delivering engaging digital training content across a number of mediums and platforms
Experience of training/learning and development in a Technology, Logistics or Retail environment
Good level of understanding current and future learning trends within the workplace and can translate these into effective content
Advocate for lifelong learning and self development and can instill this in others
Good communication skills, someone who inspires confidence in an inclusive and collaborative manner
Build trust based long term relationships and can influence stakeholders, including senior internal and external decision makers in a diplomatic manner
Experience of using formal project management methodology
Proactively track and manage client records
An analytical mind set with strong numeracy and analysis skills to drive continuous improvements
Articulate in both verbal and written communications with the ability to communicate technical information to non technical audiences
The ability to deal with ambiguity and iterative development to produce a clear, coherent and concise outcome
