The Role:
The role will sit in our Technology function in our Engineering Team whose primary focus is to develop the digital and cloud capability for New Look. Our website and our mobile apps are our flagship stores with millions of users delivering genuine moments of delight and helping customers purchase with confidence. Our digital engineering teams are set up as squads that consist of cross functional roles – Product Managers, Scrum masters, Designers and Engineers working in an agile environment. Within the New Look Engineering Team, we have been on a journey to becoming an industry leading technology organisation, with a product-led mindset.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading and managing the delivery of digital initiatives using Agile methodologies.
  • Plans tasks for self and is accountable for their delivery as well as the delivery of the Scrum Teams
  • Owns the end to end delivery from any changes in systems/areas that are impacted by any new features implemented with the teams.
  • Works alongside the business. Service transition, Devops, product and technology (where appropriate) to ensure initiatives are delivered successfully and embedded into the business.
  • Work within the Leadership trio alongside a Product Manager and Technical Lead to ensure the success of the underlying teams.
  • Camaraderie with the engineering team and other professionals in the company.
  • Being dedicated and willing to follow through with individual and team commitments.
  • Facilitate constructive debate to enable better decisions and shared vision
  • Owning the Scrum of Scrums for impacted scrum teams and ensuring dependencies between teams are managed (inclusive of teams that may sit outside of the digital arena).
  • Resource planning for capacity services teams, inclusive of financial forecasting and budgeting
  • Ensuring teams have developed OKR’s and ensuring teams meet these objectives.
