This exciting and innovative role for a creative and driven Digital Designer will help elevate the Harvey Nichols brand online, across all our multichannel digital platforms. The right candidate will thrive within a fast-paced and innovative environment, preferably with a luxury retail background and will work closely with the Ecommerce Director and Creative Marketing Director as well as the core design team to deliver inventive, strategically considered and exciting design on both a day-to-day and larger campaign level.
Your comprehensive knowledge of UX/UI and responsive and mobile design will ensure best practice is always applied to improve and elevate the customer journey and user experience online.  You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will keep a cool head under pressure.  It goes without saying that you will be a talented and creative individual who will be motivated by working within a forward-thinking digital team.
What you'll be doing:
  • Develop and take design ownership of the look and feel of the global Harvey Nichols online footprint
  • Lead and manage weekly tasks briefed into the creative team from the wider ecommerce team, along with seasonal briefs and larger projects set by the creative lead
  • Ensure the workflow is managed effectively across the team from brief to final design and delivery
  • Deliver creative concepts as part of integrated digital marketing campaign
  • Implement seasonal brand guidelines and champion brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, ensuring all design outputs adhere to brand guidelines
  • Work with the Online Product Manager, UX and UI teams and the Senior Website team to improve the user experience on all devices, through regular testing, strong design principles and competitor research
  • Ability to create digital campaigns for multiple territories and different user groups
  • Meet tight deadlines, handling workloads in a calm and professional manner
  • An excellent team player, who can mentor and guide the junior team members to learn and grow their skills
A bit about your experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in a digital design role within a (preferably) fashion or lifestyle luxury brand
  • Confident to bring strong and unique design direction to the online team
  • Knowledge around mobile and desktop web usability best practices, responsive and adaptive design alongside a holistic approach to overall usability and design
  • Have a high-level skill set with all Adobe creative suites
  • Prototyping skills – bringing layouts and graphics to life with animation
  • Knowlege of HTML/ CSS - desirable
