Due to consistent levels of sweet new projects, we want to grow our design team and raise the bar of our creative output. We want someone to help create exceptional digital experiences within our talented team and steer Dark Blue’s design output going forward.
A gifted digital designer with a cracking portfolio to prove it. You’ll be someone who thinks conceptually but also understands the principles of user-centric design. Someone who can balance original creativity within a web technology framework. You’re someone who approaches each brief with fresh eyes and original thinking, dissatisfied with city-scape homepages and headlines set in Raleway or Open Sans. You’ll have a firm understanding of the latest technological trends and be curious to experiment with new ones as they come along.
What you’ll be working on
Becoming a key member of the design team, you’ll be hands-on and a creative voice for the entire project life-cycle. You’ll be pitching concepts to stakeholders, designing all assets and interfaces and collaborating with our developers as they bring your creation to life.
The types of projects you’ll be working on will be websites, mobile apps and digital marketing campaigns. We sometimes get involved in some branding or print design, but predominantly it’s digital interfaces. You’ll have full autonomy over your tools and you’ll be given time to learn new ones to keep you sharp! This is a full time, permanent position and is an awesome opportunity to create mind-blowing digital experiences with a talented and friendly bunch of people.
We’re a small digital agency based out of a cosy studio in Shoreditch, London. We’ve been slowly growing over the past 3 years and our team is currently made up of 2 developers, 1 designer and 1 project/operations manager (you’ll be doubling the design team!) We specialise in the design and build of websites, mobile apps and marketing campaigns. We have awesome clients. From big companies like Virgin, Mindshare and Deliveroo to exciting start-ups like Tide, Plenish and Central Working.
A healthy work/life balance is very important to us. We’ve crafted the agency around the lives we want to live. We have flexible working hours and budgets for employee health and wellbeing. Travel is encouraged. Everyone gets plenty of holiday allowance and we take team trips away together as often as possible.
