Description

The Opportunity

  • An Account Manager in the FAST Display team is responsible for each stage of planning and buying print, digital display activity across multiple clients
  • In FAST Display we encourage creative thinking, so this means identifying new opportunities and constantly working with clients and media owners to bring new and innovate ideas to life
  • This will involve working in partnership with some of the most prolific media owners in the market – News UK, The Guardian, Google, Telegraph, Mail Metro Media, Verizon, Teads, and Hearst as an example
  • It’s varied role, comprising not only planning, implementation and evaluation of clients’ media activity, but overseeing reporting output, ensuring continuity of the agency’s financial processes, managing client and media owner relationships, attending meetings, and contributing to the quality of the team’s output
  • This means juggling lots of different tasks and sometimes working to multiple deadlines
  • The role offers considerable autonomy, as you won’t be micro-managed, so there’s a lot of responsibility!
  • The Account Manager is also responsible for the line management of the Account Executives and Apprentices working on their accounts. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee their day-to-day work and manage their ongoing career development, as well as supporting the Business Director in assessment of their quarterly performance. With Apprentices this includes liaising with the apprentice’s learning provider and regularly providing feedback on their educational development

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and buying clients’ print and digital campaigns
  • Identifying and pursuing creative opportunities
  • Negotiating media costs
  • Overseeing reporting and trafficking
  • Presenting in client meetings
  • Ensuring accuracy of booking and billing
  • Using a mixture of Industry tools and Mindshare specific systems ((eg. Prisma, Adazzle, Double Click, Sizmek, Nielsen, Telmar)
  • Monitoring Performance and delivering effective optimisations
  • Overseeing reporting and trafficking and the creation of Post Campaign Analysis
  • Presenting in client meetings
  • Ensuring accuracy of booking and billing

We’d like to hear from you if you are

  • Passionate about either print or digital (or both!), and knowledgeable of the market
  • Robust planning and buying skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • A ‘people person’ who can form strong relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Well organised
  • An assertive and great communicator
  • Able to interpret data in a meaningful and understandable way & able to identify trends
  • A flexible person who is able to form multiple relationships with a variety of teams and characters

Your life until now

  • Experience ideally in print or digital, or both.
  • Programmatic experience is preferred but not essential.
