While our head office operations are based in the UK, we currently have five development offices across Europe to support our growth. So what does a Digital marketing assoicate do at Ocado? The technology marketing communications team is responsible for the development of creative campaigns that ensure Ocado Engineering and Ocado Technology stay in the news and are positioned as thought leaders on key industry trends and issues. We also support internal communications and employee engagement; manage the technology press office function; provide advice and support to colleagues across Ocado with regards to content and messaging for outward facing communications; manage multiple social media channels; and promote our presence at industry tradeshows, conferences and other events. This in turn helps with our recruitment missions and to spread the amazing story of Ocado. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to promote Ocado Technology across our geographic footprint and support our recruitment marketing efforts as we continue to grow at pace and increase engagement with our target audiences. As the Digital Marketing Associate you will be reponsible for:
  • Crafting high-impact content across a variety of formats to fuel Ocado Technology’s digital marketing campaigns; ensure content is mapped to audiences and developed with specific outcomes in mind e.g. engage and nurture candidate pipelines through awareness and education of our employer brand, culture an EVP
  • Designing and activating digital media campaigns across a number of digital media channels to drive positive recruitment outcomes;  highlight Ocado Technology’s cutting-edge development, technological leadership and culture of serial innovation with a laser-focus on building a strong employer brand
  • Managing and coordinating end-to-end digital projects using various online marketing tools such as web pages, CRM/talent pipelines and social media channels
  • Working closely with recruitment teams to understand local talent landscapes and pain points and harnessing that knowledge to proactively address these challenges via targeted campaigns
  • Working closely with local brand ambassadors and technology evangelists to innovate digital marketing opportunities
  • Working closely and collaboratively with stakeholders across the wider Ocado Group communications and marketing team with the goal of consistent and integrated communications across all media channels, geographies and business areas
  • Managing and monitoring ROI and KPIs for campaigns and provide data to enable future improvements
  • Supporting the local roll-out of communications and marketing activities in line with global technology communications strategy
You will also have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds in the world (hardware engineers, software developers, scientists and researchers) and develop your general technology and engineering knowledge. We’re interested in someone that has:
  • Proven experience across digital marketing and communications within an agency or in-house
  • Solid grasp of the technology landscape
  • Outstanding command of the English language; remarkable aptitude for the conscientious detail and command of the language; ability to articulate both technical and corporate messages confidently and competently
  • A proven track record of working in fast-moving environments and with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to distil complex technical content into engaging narratives that anticipate the needs of different audiences
  • Strong team player who is self-motivated and able to multitask under pressure.  You have the ability to solve problems with positive outcomes.
  • Comfortable and confident working with senior-level management
  • Passion for technology
  • Experience of recruitment marketing channels, content and tools e.g. Beamery highly desirable
  • Experience with visual communication principles
  • Experience in technology and/or engineering marketing communications is required
  • We ideally would like to see around 3-5 years experience within a similar role
