DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a third Product Designer to join our amazing team to look after the UX for our in-store experiences, ranging from; creating digital black books for our Makeup Artists, optimising processes through systems and tech, and enhancing intelligent recommendation tools for our customers. This role will require both creative and operational thinking, as well as a service design mindset - thinking about experiences as systems rather than in siloe. Professional experience operating at this level will be required to be successful within the role.
The Team
The Digital Product Design team (DPD) is a central part to our business, working with every function across all disciplines; from our pro-makeup artistry team, to brand team, to our ecom team, and more. The team has a huge variety of experience across different industries and problem spaces, bringing together exciting and inspiring ways of working and approaches to solving problems.
The team is currently 5 people; DPD Director, DPD Manager, 2 Product Designers, and a Visual Designer. The team itself has a great bond with a really honest and energetic way of working.
Both of the Product Designers currently sit within a cross functional squads, each of which focuses on a different KPI related to our website. The squads consist of; a DP Designer, a Product Manager and several Engineers. This new role will span two squads, both with a Product Manager, one with in-house engineers, and one with external engineers (3rd party, but local).

REQUIREMENTS

  • You’ll be responsible for the experiences across your products, with support from the team
  • Deliver amazing designs and prototypes across varying fidelities
  • Conduct research, both quantitative and qualitative to inform design and experience decisions and enhance company knowledge about our customer
  • Generate a service design mentality within your product experiences
  • Work with the product managers to define the roadmaps and shape our future, ensuring the customer needs are at the forefront of everything we do
  • Ensure our developing product strategies align to our strategic pillars, and in harmony with our other customer touchpoints
  • Present experiences to c-suite on a regular basis, telling the story and getting buy in throughout the product lifecycle
