This is a leadership role with responsibility for all Product Design supported by and reporting directly to the SVP Product. This is a global role where you will be setting the creative direction and a consistent design system for Product (apps and web), leading on all aspects to translate the brand identity into product design and implement an impeccable product experience. Our community expects high performance, high quality and constant innovation to stay current in the marketplace. You will manage a team of driven and creative designers, user researchers and copywriters while maintaining high collaboration with many other teams and departments to formulate an overall design vision and identify areas of improvement for our business and community.
Define and drive the Product Design strategy that integrates with, and informs, the broader Product strategy.
Engage regularly with Senior Leadership where you will effectively represent design, your team's objectives, learnings and progress.
Be able to help our design team to produce creative projects to inspire our community.
Effectively manage, provide progression frameworks and opportunities to engage and retain your team of designers.
Foster and support intelligent innovation, UX and user testing in order to improve the consumer interaction and experience with the product
Design solutions to improve our product usability and be able to identify UX issues.
Be able to solve a wide range of product problems across all our products: mobile (iOS/Android) and website.
Work with our Design team to create and maintain our design system.
Considerable experience leading, managing, scaling design teams and design strategy
Technical awareness and knowledge of user research methods and user testing and how best to apply them within the development process.
Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
Collaborative and happy to work with agile teams various departments across the business, such as engineering, product and marketing to provide unique insight and perspective to the design process.
Skilled at giving actionable, constructive feedback which enables people to do the best work possible.
Strong understanding of interaction design, UX and UI principles
