The Position
We are looking for an outstanding Manager of eCommerce to join our progressive Digital team. You should be highly commercial with a proven ability to deliver profit and growth and will be responsible for the day-to-day management and trade of multiple country sites and achieving their respective retail sales targets. Key responsibilities also include creating the strategy for and launching on-site initiatives, adapting the global trade calendar into localized ones for each of your markets, the forecasting and reporting of retail sales, formulating sampling strategies, developing promotional campaigns relevant to your local markets and overseeing the forecasting of product allocations and demand planning, both for new and on-going products. This role will also be responsible for the management and development of eCommerce Coordinators within the team in partnership with the other regional managers. They will work in close partnership with other key stakeholders in Marketing, PR, Supply Chain, Finance and Product teams.
  • Analysing and interpreting data from Google Analytics, Looker and Elastic Path, collating key metrics and actionable insights into a performance report that is shared with the leadership team weekly.
  • Monitor product performance & on-site trends to provide recommendations on how to maximize sales while leveraging digital marketing, product merchandising, commercial offers and content.
  • Establish and benchmark site offering vs customer expectation and the industry to ensure always on, compelling proposition enabling maximised conversion rates across all markets.
  • Assist the eCommerce Head and Senior eCommerce Manager in compiling the quarterly eCommerce Magic Matrix presentation and other ad hoc presentations to leadership.
  • Working alongside Product, Operations, Sales and Marketing teams to forecast new product quantities for your markets, ensuring these are within Demand Planning and Supply Chain guidelines and unlocking opportuniites for exclusive moments.
  • Attending Marketing and new product launch meetings when required, to ensure eCommerce initiative concepts are in-line with Global Marketing calendar.
  • Working with tech/product management to support site development and capabilities, especially as it specifically pertains to your markets, i.e, the support of local payment and delivery options.
  • Produce proposals and business cases for future initiatives and promotions, ensuring these are signed off by Director of eCommerce, Finance and presented to Leadership.
  • In addition leveraging reporting skills and commercial know how to collate data and insights to prove a theory, support a project and deliver complete post campaign analysis.
  • Work with third parties as relevant – Borderfree for example.
  • Be the lead on projects directly for your markets such as translated site roll outs and also suppor on and drive Global projects as part of the broader trade team.
  • Coordinating with the Content team to ensure all products and assets are created in time for launch, and are adapted to optimize for your local markets, and provided to eCommerce Coordinators with enough time to execute properly.
  • Work in collaboration with Performance Marketing team, ensuring always in the loop on all DM campaigns that are running and that said campaigns align with trade goals and take into consideration product availability and your local markets.
  • Responsible for planning and managing all AOV initiatives on your sites in partnership with other Regional Managers to ensure global alignment.
  • Must have experience in a commercial trading online retail role, preferably in the beauty industry or within a startup environment
  • Experience overseeing one or more of the markets within the role’s remit a strong plus
  • Strong forecasting experience of retail sales and online KPIs including conversion, AOV and order volumes
  • Experience overseeing a demand plan and forecasting of new products
  • Proficient in Google Analytics
  • Experience with NetSuite, Looker, Asana, Contenful and/or Elastic Path a plus
  • Experience managing and developing others
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, working within a fast-paced, continually adapting environment that requires an agile team player
  • Strong communication skills and ability to project manage cross-functionally
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and self-time manage is a must
