Transworld Publishers are looking for an Editorial Assistant to join their Non-fiction team. This is a job for an enthusiastic, energetic and diligent individual looking to become a valued member of a collaborative publishing team. You should be resourceful and organised with good people skills and a keen eye for detail. You will also be a broad reader with an open mind.
The Editorial Assistant will report to the Editorial Director and support the rest of the Non-fiction department, consisting of the Publishing Director, two further Editorial Directors, a Senior Commissioning Editor and an Editor.
In addition to providing comprehensive administrative support, the role includes reading and reporting on submissions, copywriting, generating and researching ideas, and liaising with all other departments. There may also be an occasional requirement to support publicity and marketing activities, which could involve out-of-hours time.
Transworld Publishers is one of the most successful book publishers in the UK, home to a wide range of bestselling and award-winning authors including Bill Bryson, Jason Fox, Richard Dawkins, Bear Grylls, Romesh Ranganathan, The Unmumsy Mum, Mary Portas and Hannah Fry.
This role is currently based at our offices in Ealing Broadway, but Transworld will be relocating to Embassy Gardens in Vauxhall in Spring 2020.
