The Event Manager will ensure the successful planning & implementation of the fashion events for CHANEL UK, ensuring exceptional execution. This role will support the Head of Fashion Marketing and Head of VM & Image in defining the Fashion strategy for events, in harmony with the overall brand vision. They will also be the regional contact for the global team and support the Canadian market in their events strategy & plan.
Leading fashion events requires a high degree of communication & collaboration across multiple local and global teams. This role is responsible for setting the 360 vision & orchestration across relevant teams.
Digest the global events strategy and work with the events committee & boutique management to build a locally relevant annual events plan, ensuring alignment to the strategic goals and targets. (Including F&B, W&FJ & PR divisions)
Building event briefs and proposals as required for local and global validation
Work with the VIC team on their events schedule, leading any local event production.
Forecast budget for event production to exceptional CHANEL standards with local knowledge on supplier pricing. Tracking, processing and recording of all event invoices, and partner with finance for regular budget reviews.
Provide competitive insights to the wider teams of relevant events, seen in the UK.
Organise monthly event meetings and schedule ad-hoc meetings as required.
2/ Conception & Production:
Work hand in hand with global image team on event conception based on local specificities.
Local development of the event concept with the VM Design Manager & local suppliers.
Be the key contact for suppliers, venues, and vendors from sourcing to postproduction (negotiate, manage budget, respect CHANEL sustainability vision and liase with Legal teams on contracts.)
Orchestration of event governance to ensure departments are informed and working towards deadlines (Product – Merchandising, Communications – Client experience, Targeting, attendance management & ROI – Client insights)
Manage the execution of the event, oversee internal and external teams roles and responsibilities.
Oversee all logistics and the execution of the client experience at events (i.e., check-in experience, gifting, photo experience, and the Fashion Advisor and client interaction)
Oversee the dismantling and removal of events ensuring elements are recycled & reused where possible.
ROI work with stakeholders to collate business & image results and overview decks.
Feed key learnings & takeaways into the event strategy.
