Role Summary:
As a first assistant to Katie Shillingford you will be responsible for all shoot preparation. You will handle external communication with PR’s and have an excellent knowledge of luxury brands and young designers. Assisting on all of Katie’s fashion shoots, this role requires someone comfortable working within a fast paced environment and who also has a strong ability to juggle numerous tasks.
This is a freelance role split between AnOther and Katie’s commercial work outside of the magazine, this would be arranged through Katie Shillingford and is not the responsibility of Dazed Media.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and assist on large scale photoshoots, UK and international
  • Assist on magazine sign off, completing fashion credits etc.
  • Assist on the general running of the magazine and assisting our contributors
  • Visual Research
  • Assist on fashion shows, lookbooks & campaigns etc.
Skills, experience and personal attributes
  • Experience and proven ability in assisting stylists
  • Experience in team management
  • Proven relationships with local and international PR agencies
  • Excellent knowledge of luxury brands, young designers, commercial brands and accessories designers
  • Enthusiasm and passion for Dazed Media editorial platforms and products
  • Super organised and meticulous with detail and able to juggle numerous tasks
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure; handling multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • An entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent communicator
  • Creative, ‘out of the box’ thinker
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Experience in showroom pulls and vintage appointments
