Artichoke is looking for an experienced and pro-active General Manager to provide maternity cover from September 2019. Projects during this period will include Lumiere Durham 2019, our work on the Galway 2020 European City of Culture, and R&D planning for future productions.
This central role requires someone with several years’ experience within a similar role in an arts / events company, the individual will have excellent financial and project management skills and strong HR knowledge. Working closely with the Finance & Operations Director the role will suit someone who is highly numerate, and is a strategic thinker with first-rate communication and organisational skills. We are looking for someone who is friendly, but with gravitas.
The current General Manager will go on maternity leave mid-September 2019, and we are seeking a General Manager (Maternity Cover) for a full time start from then, ideally with the potential for a handover prior to starting the post full time (subject to notice periods and availability).
