Reporting to the Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy and working across the Partnerships New Business and Account Management teams, this exciting new role will be responsible for driving forward growth, focus and support to deliver accelerated and ambitious growth from strategic partnerships for the organisation.
We are looking for an experienced strategic thinker and established leader with personal gravitas who understands and applies commercial and financial principles to improve performance.
With a proven track record of developing new initiatives for growth across transformational partnerships, you will have experience in driving opportunities and guiding external stakeholders on highly technical or complex partnership initiatives. You will have a deep understanding of the breadth of NGO-business partnership models that exist across the sector and clear vision for how Save the Children can differentiate itself among its peers to create sector-leading approaches.
With the skill to drive new initiatives in a large organisation you will:
  •  Shape our transformational partnerships to maximise impact for children.
  • Seek out, test and develop new initiatives for strategic growth on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead on sharing best practice in corporate fundraising /private sector partnerships, including coaching and mentoring on strategic growth, business principles, value exchange.
  • Working with Heads of New Business and Partnership to ensure growth opportunities.
  • Working with the Business Partnerships Hub on the design and delivery of strategic growth across transformational partnership opportunities & key organisational initiatives and priorities.
To be successful, you will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience as a Senior Leader, with excellent knowledge of charity partnerships within the corporate sector. Highly motivated, proactive and able to inspire others to deliver against ambitious targets, you will have experience of working in an NGO environment or a corporate background with deep knowledge of the complexities of international development programming partnerships and associated challenges and solutions. In addition, you will have:
  • Proven track record in leading and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder corporate partnerships within an international development charity or similar
  • Proven experience of leading (from design to implementation stages) a new initiative or strategy to achieve desired growth outcomes
  • Excellent written and presentation skills and confident ability to deliver verbal and written proposals up to CEO level
  • Experience of negotiating, influencing and delivering results both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departmental boundaries internally and externally to achieve shared organisational goals.
