NBC Sky World News are looking for a senior graphics designer for a groundbreaking new unit in the centre of our newsroom. You'll be familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterAffects, Premiere Pro and VizRT, but will also become key part of the editorial team, engaging with producers and our on air team on how best to tell data driven stories, visual investigations and breaking news. You may be familiar with Open Source Investigations techniques and how to get the best out of satellite imagery and the enhancement of user generated content. You'll be a first class designer who wants more of a say in how we tell our stories and willing to pioneer new techniques and systems.
Working with producers on the design, building, and iteration of various breaking news and visual journalism projects.
Work with the team to storyboard, and realize data presentation in the form of fullscreen graphics, studio monitor walls, and augmented reality.
Design and create assets across multiple platforms, including broadcast and digital.
Maintain an organized file structure, with respect to variations, revisions, and use-cases.
Work with continued progress on projects with longer deadlines, as well as turn around concepts and revisions under pressure of breaking news .
Flexibilty to work unconventional hours during major stories.
