IDEA group who produces London Design Festival, London Design Biennale and other design related activities is looking for a Head of Content & Digital. This role will lead and strategically manage online initiatives and future digital developments.
The successful candidate will join at a time when the portfolio of activities continues to evolve and grow. It is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the company’s future at a time when digital has become central to partnerships and strategy.
The Head of Content & Digital will own all digital activity and actively grow global audiences – including management of branded websites, ticketing platforms, social media channels, content creation, and email marketing – along with identifying and spearheading new areas of opportunity, growth and revenue potential.
The ideal candidate should be experienced, strategic, independent and commercially astute, as well as being able to react tactically and creatively to business needs, via digitally driven insights. The role involves working with a broad range of stakeholders in London and internationally including key venues, design teams, supporters and sponsors, and suppliers.
Salary will be competitive but based on experience. The start date is January 2021.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 8-10 years experience in digital marketing or creative/technology sectors
Passion for design and creativity, knowledge of the sector and London
Experience and enthusiasm for working collaboratively on both projects and messaging
Ability to utilise cutting-edge marketing and communication technology to ensure presentation of content is leading edge
Evidence of strategic thinking across all aspects of role
Team management experience, account management and conscientious reporting to senior management
Financial literacy, budget management and negotiation skills
A sound creative eye, the role will involve overseeing design work, editing imagery and selecting content
Be personable, enthusiastic, diplomatic, a team player, calm under pressure and self-motivated.
Copyrighting, editing and content creation skills, preferably via digital platforms
Expert knowledge of digital – for example, for Search, must have a deep understanding of search term analysis, copy generation, bid strategy, etc
Confident user of Google Analytics, identity trends and opportunities to make key business decisions
Background in creating marketing strategies online, and driving campaigns digitally for both acquisition and retention
In depth knowledge of online marketing platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Mailchimp, Google Ad Manager, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest
Knowledge of organising and managing digital events
All LDF and LDB owned platforms are currently built on Drupal which comes to end of life in 2021 – successful candidate will need to build and lead the migration strategy
