Reporting to the Executive Producer for Core Programming, the successful candidate will be responsible for continuing the growth and improvement of the Planning Team – overseeing the content produced, the service provided and embracing new broadcasting projects and opportunities

Lead by example in demonstrating a collegiate and collaborative approach, encouraging the team to work closely with all departments of PLP with a positive and pro-active attitude to requests and ideas from all stakeholders.
Lead and inspire the Club Liaison Managers and Planning Producer to maximise output from the International Content Sessions (ICS) by driving a culture of innovation and creativity.
Coach, nurture and develop the team so that everyone is able to work effectively with all stakeholders enabling others to manage the day to day requirements allowing you to focus on the strategic development of the department.
Responsible for the planning and execution of major projects such as Premier League campaigns (Heads Up, No Room for Racism, Rainbow Laces) Media Access Days, PLP Legend Interviews and Premier League Hall of Fame.
Building exceptionally strong relationships with the Premier League and all 20 Premier League clubs is critical to the success of this role where persuasive and diplomatic communication skills are absolutely essential.
Nurture relationships with all the International Broadcast partners, working closely with their respective editorial staff to enhance their experience of the Premier League.
Liaise and meet with counterparts at Sky Sports, BBC, Amazon Prime and BT Sport to achieve common broadcasting goals and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Be keenly aware of and attuned to how other broadcasters, other sports and other genres use and produce content around ‘talent’ to help inform Premier League Productions and the Premier League on how we can continually improve in this area.
Be across the latest technology and production tools, and make appropriate recommendations, to enhance and improve the on-screen product, workflows and all-round user experience for everyone involved with International Content Sessions.
Considerable experience working in a media environment.
Extensive knowledge of Premier League football.
Extensive experience of line managing a large team – with a proven history of performance and appraisal management – with an ability to develop direct reports.
The candidate must have experience in client liaison as you will be managing the relationship between clubs, International and Domestic Broadcasters and the Premier League.
Possess an established list of industry contacts.
Ability to deal confidently with International and Domestic Broadcasters, Premier League Clubs, and talent.
Experience of working across multiple projects, effectively managing and prioritising workload.
Ability to encourage and develop skills within a team.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong editorial judgement.
Proven organisational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills (when to employ tact, diplomacy, discretion).
High level of computer accuracy and literacy including Excel.
