About Change Incorporated
Change Inc. is a new, global, media company, within VICE, with a focus on tackling some of the biggest issues facing the world - from sustainability to online hate, from energy usage to health. Through our content, website, social media channels and other relevant activity (events, conferences etc), we aim to inspire measurable, positive behaviour change amongst the public and document positive business transformation globally. The company is funded primarily by corporate partners, with whom we will undertake defined ‘missions’ to create positive change. Content for these ‘missions’ is created with complete editorial independence from the corporate partner.
Change Inc. x You
The Head of Social will take a lead role developing creative, completely integrated programmes through all relevant social platforms and technologies to drive engagement and traffic and contribute to the success of the missions and company.
Scope of Assignment x You
You will manage the strategic vision for select social platforms like Facebook and Twitter etc – from ideation, to strategy development, to execution, and finally providing and acting on insightful measurements. In addition, you are responsible for owning and growing Change Incorporated’s relationship with top social platforms, and establishing new partnerships with social technologies that compliment our voice, business, and goals.
  • Create sustainable content and campaigns campaigns and tactics that benefit Change Incorporated and our missions.
  • Work as a mentor to more junior members of the team, aiding in onboarding and training of new hires.
  • Help define the value proposition for our social media presence and translate that into quantifiable results.
  • Work with all relevant specialists and teams in Change Incorporated as part of our matrix structure. In particular, this will include Marketing, Communications, Research & Analytics and Editorial.
  • 10 years min experience in digital strategy or social marketing, time spent at a media organisation.
  • Intimate knowledge of Facebook, YouTube, and other prominent social media platforms, and documented successes on those channels.
  • Ability to approach new hurdles objectively with succinct, creative solutions.
You have these:
  • Hands-on experience using and acting on data collected from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Absolutely must have an entrepreneurial spirit, relentless work ethic, inquisitive approach to everything, and an insatiable desire to be a part of a growing and creative digital department and business.
We’d love if you also had these:
  • HTML, CSS, or any relevant web coding knowledge a plus.
Travel The role may require time to be spent in the UK, Denmark, and other countries as required. This job description is a general description of essential job functions.
