Managing Industrial Design for Europe, across Ecover and method and across the whole cleaning aisle, you’ll be crucial to our mission to lead a clean world revolution. You’ll be the one providing design and innovation leadership, spanning product strategy through to design specification.
To put it bluntly, you’ll be doing two things: Firstly, you’ll be driving new thinking across the business, bringing new creative input and new product ideas. Secondly, you’ll be perfecting product designs, evaluating them and making them a reality in millions of consumer homes.

Leading Industrial Design for Europe across two brands
You’ll help to create and drive the product strategy
You’ll uncover new and exciting consumer insights relating to product design
You’ll create product concepts and build consensus around them
You’ll collaborate widely to ensure your designs address the needs of the business, while making us all feel an overwhelming sense of excitement tinged with a healthy dose of discomfort
You’ll evaluate, select and recommend new product design direction
You’ll prototype, test and refine…..relentlessly
You’ll produce the final design specification and collaborate with other function to get it into production.
You’ll drive innovation and innovative thinking, across the business
You’ll scout for new ideas and possibilities in the strangest locations
You’ll meet and discuss new possibilities with vendors, business teams, and functional groups
You’ll collaborate across the business to influence product strategy to achieve the corporate growth objectives.
You’ll have been living and breathing product design most of your life

Candidates for this position are likely to be degree-qualified in more than one discipline, for example; Design and Marketing, Design and Engineering.
You’ll have 8-12 years professional design experience (hopefully in CPG or lifestyle brands), and are comfortable working in highly motivated, energetic environments.
You’ll be just as happy discussing product strategy (whilst wearing a costume) as you’ll be discussing parison programming with our engineers.
The successful candidate will have experience with 3D CAD programs such as solidworks, rapid prototyping and all the usual suspects from Adobe and Microsoft, but these will just be tools they use to channel their awesome creativity.
