As the Interim Head of Creative you will lead the creative team to ensure best in class creative output and ensure a consistent creative identity for the Brand across site and all digital touchpoints. You will be expected to combine great design skills with creative conceptual thinking and a strong commercial awareness, leading the design direction of the Brand. You will be the creative guardian to ensure creative consistency and at the same time inspire the team to take risks, test new formats and techniques to bring the Brand to life.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage a large team of Designers as well as a Studio (Photographer, Assistant Photographer and Retoucher)
· You will establish concepts and art direction for all online projects / campaigns
· You will be influential yet collaborative in ensuring that the Brand guidelines are followed both online and offline
· An ability to adapt to projects / briefs is key - you will be expected to schedule, and project manage multiple design briefs ranging across the website, above the line media, social media and international channels
· Act as the Brand ambassador and guardian for all design and visual content, art directing and overseeing the creative development of all photo and video shoots
· A highly creative individual with an acute commercial awareness – someone who understands designing digitally for conversion whilst never compromising on detail and quality
· You should have significant experience working in an online beauty or fashion environment and have an excellent understanding of the online medium
· Capable of implementing and growing consistent creative, with strong ideas and instincts when it comes to overseeing a site redesign
· Flexible with a highly proactive attitude, creative eye, and the ability to inspire the Designers
· Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
· Confident working knowledge of HTML and CSS with a background in working across multiple different CMS
· An understanding of colour correction and retouching would be advantageous
· Video concepting / story boarding and Art direction experience - Editing knowledge is a plus
· You should be confident working in a fast-paced company and able to use your broad spectrum of design experience to guide a design directive which will ultimately drive traffic to the site
