Job Purpose

  • Leader of the new business & partnerships team at The HudsonBec Group (this role is focussed 50% on It’s Nice That and 50% on Anyways Creative) - overseeing all output and shaping growth and profitability.
  • An advocate for HBG’s point of view and approach both internally and externally, helping the company to achieve its commercial and creative ambitions, and fulfilling our purpose of ‘Enabling Creativity to Thrive’
  • Identify new clients and develop best approaches to new briefs
  • Maintain and grow relationships, securing new business and ensuring future stability
  • Line manager to the new business and marketing team members across the HudsonBec Group (2 direct reports)
  • Fulfil the most important projects and achieve great results through others, overseeing and analysing effectiveness and financial performance across multiple projects
  • Report on business performance and improve strategies as needed to meet commercial targets
  • Representing new business and partnerships as part of the HudsonBec Groups leadership team; reporting to directors quarterly
  • Nurture and maintain a positive working culture
  • Represent, influence and progress the business externally

You
  • Proven track record of growing business and securing new relationships
  • Experience of leading and managing teams
  • Experience in the creative industry
  • Pro-active with the ability to work independently
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy networking and building relationships
  • Able to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner
  • Organised with strong project management skills
  • Passionate about the creative industry

Key Tasks
  • Securing new business across our largest commercial offerings across the group
  • Overseeing a clear new business and marketing strategy and ensuring it is executed through their teams
  • Review, analyse and propose changes to our new business and marketing strategy at regular intervals - and at least quarterly
  • Proactively secure new, commercially lucrative new leads and relationships
  • Ensuring our products and service offerings are up to date, and innovating in new areas where necessary
  • Fielding and scoping the most lucrative incoming requests for new business, overseeing the pipeline and ensuring it is kept up to date and full
  • Overseeing the administration of a database of clients and contacts
  • Building high-level presentations
  • Ensuring our marketing tools are up-to date, relevant and innovative
  • Looking outside of our organisation for new opportunities
  • Important, high-profile public presentations
  • Report on and analyse new business pipeline and business financial targets

Details
  • Salary: £45-55k (dependent on experience)
  • Reporting into: Managing Director
  • Level: Senior / Head of
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am — 6pm (flexible hours between 8am – 7pm except Fridays)
  • Location: Mainly remote, occasionally will need to be available for in person meetings in London
