This is an opportunity to join the new product team at Lyvly as Interior Design Lead. As a new team in a fast growing start up, you will get the chance to join us early and shape the future of the company and the product.
You will have a lot of scope to define your own path, driving this new role. Your day to day role could include:
Defining Lyvly’s design direction and design strategy, and communicating it clearly with our property onboarding team
Creating specs for furniture packs to provide our property onboarding team with the knowledge to execute on each new home
Coordinating designs with the furniture that is provided by our landlords, and understanding what changes we need to make to provide our members with a consistent product across homes
Assessing Lyvly’s previous designs across houses and flats and understanding why we made those decisions
Speaking to members and understanding what their likes, wants and needs are within their home
Collecting and analysing data on how happy our members are with what is in their homes, and using that to define product updates
Building relationships with suppliers to enable Lyvly to get better quality products at competitive prices
Working closely with the property onboarding team, gathering feedback from set ups to guide what suppliers and products are most suitable
Understanding Lyvly’s business model to guide budget constraints for new homes
Defining what elements we can change within homes
Keeping abreast of design trends, industry developments and competitors’ products to ensure our product is always innovative and ahead of the competition
Building a library of FFE selections that is in line with our design strategy, and scalable
To apply for this job you must have:
3-5 years experience working as an interior designer, leading projects
Evidence of a strong design focus in your previous work
Work samples that demonstrate a strong background in Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment
A passion and an eye for well-designed residential spaces and furniture
An entrepreneurial mindset: this doesn’t have to be prior experience starting a company, but we’re looking for evidence of being self-driven
Be able to think strategically, creatively and analytically
Strong organisational skills

Are used to working independently, with responsibility for all parts of the design process
Enjoy the challenge of working in a flexible way, with limited set rules on your work and time management
Are comfortable working both in the office and in the field, meeting our members and seeing the finished product
Creative and curious about why people make decisions
Able to find ways to get different lots of team members on board with the product direction we choose
Open and honest, preferring to have difficult conversations upfront than avoid conflict and fall into problems down the line
Have high attention to detail, and enjoy organising and prioritising requests from different teams
