This internship role will sit within our UK McDonald’s Kids and Family client services team. This team do some incredible work with McDonald’s supporting the development, production and launch of happy meal kits
Of course, we know that McDonald’s is a global icon. A truly amazing brand recognised the world over.  However, with increased competition, tough economic times and competitors copying the winning Happy Meal formula, McDonald’s now has to deliver beyond the traditional toy in a box with more exciting, innovative and inspiring activation. We are constantly looking for new ways to make the Happy Meal box an engaging learning experience for kids and their families. We challenge ourselves to think about which licensors we can partner with such as Universal, Warner Bros, HASBRO etc. to ensure that the promotions we offer can achieve this. 
As part of this internship you will have the opportunity to work with the team across multiple projects. You will also get the opportunity to see creative develop across Happy Meal initiatives. Your inner child will be very much put to the test here!

Digging deeper on the details
  • You will be supported by a Senior Account Manager with lots of experience working with McDonald’s and Happy Meal, a great person to learn from
  • Your role will provide support to the whole team with a particular focus in the delivery of point of purchase for Happy Meal campaigns which will include putting together and managing timings and drafting briefs into the creative teams
  • Coordination of weekly client meetings – arranging agendas, taking and circulating minutes etc.
  • Supporting the team on project work, e.g. putting together point of purchase overview documents, developing fun and creative game ideas and general admin
  • Toy sample management & distribution
  • Monitoring competitor activity and collating at key intervals
