The ViacomInternational Marketing team seeks to be the best in the industry and is committed to delivering innovative communications strategies that demonstrate the power of the its suite of brands, shows and events through coordinated 360 campaigns spanning all business levels and marketing channels.
This team is responsible for the effective rollout of campaigns across 180+ International markets. All members of the marketing department are anticipated to develop a broad understanding of the markets and brands as a whole and actively seek to collaborate to mutual advantage wherever possible.
The International Marketing team works across MTV, Comedy Central, BET and Paramount brands in EMEA, Latam, Asia and Aus/NZ markets.
The Brand Manager will work with the Head of Marketing to develop results-oriented innovative and effective marketing campaigns that drive International performance, brand awareness and commercial success across International Markets. The candidate will have a record of playing a major role in planning and implementing 360 marketing campaigns to deadline and to budget.
A key aspect of this role is to fully understand the creative needs and audience nuances in our key markets; UK, Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico and Australia – to ensure we are delivering creative campaign assets and strategies that speak to their audiences in excellent ways, cutting through.
Working with the Head of Marketing on this point, the candidate will be also be involved in keeping across smaller and local campaign activations, helping to spot local ideas that could be championed and rolled out on a wider scale in other regions.
The role includes:
Partner with the Head of Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to develop strategic and creative campaign thoughts and turning these into compelling creative briefs for our in-house Creative team, WCS.
Be responsible for the Social Media Coordinator to develop effective and excellent social media strategies that can be rolled out Internationally.
Line management of the Social Media Coordinator, ensuring effective measures to support and enable forward-thinking work. Including setting clear objectives and supporting career growth.
Partner with the Project Manager to ensure we are crafting effective campaign timelines and hitting deadlines in order to support International TXs.
Work with the Head of Marketing and WCS (internal creative team) to ensure we are developing pertinent creative that is sought after and effective Internationally
Work with the Head of Marketing and International Research teams to gain an ongoing and deep understanding of different International markets, performance and to find opportunities.
Work jointly with the UK Marketing teams to collaborate where pertinent on key priority campaign briefs.
Build encouraging campaign overviews prior to launches to distribute to key partners.
Build succinct and informative campaign performance overviews.
Work with Creative and Production and Media Planning teams to ensure all assets for marketing campaigns are produced in the accurate formats.
What skills you will need:
Significant knowledge and experience in writing creative briefs that are used to build multiple media assets; from on air to social.
Experience in developing social media strategies that are intrinsically linked to an overall creative proposition.
Experience or knowledge of youth brand/media marketing as well as a keen interest in reality, music, comedy, events and general entertainment
Creativity – the ability to come up with interesting ideas.
Experience in assisting the development and delivery of marketing campaigns.
Ability to optimally handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise.
Good communicator, excellent presentation skills, takes the initiative and is hard working with a positive attitude.
