About the role: Junior Fashion Writer, Dazed Digital
We are looking for an eager young fashion writer who understands our savvy, switched-on demographic and can produce fast, witty, insightful, and accurate copy, leveraging photo and video assets to generate one to three pieces of fashion content per day. Working closely with the Head of Fashion, the Junior Fashion Writer will also support the Fashion Features Writer in preparing for Fashion Week, work on commercial projects, and liaise with brands and PRs to arrange exclusive coverage.

Terms: Full-time role with competitive salary.

Duties, responsibilities & deliverables
Work closely with the Fashion Features Writer to create and refine 1-3 daily fashion-led news pieces for online that are highly engaging, topical, shareable and optimised for search
Pitch and write features, at a rate of 1-2 per week
Pitch ideas, coordinate and manage Dazed content for Fashion Week as well as write, edit and upload content during Fashion Week including out of hours and weekends during peak periods
Work with Advertising and Dazed Media Studio teams to offer support on branded content projects, liaise with the Advertising teams to write credit pieces
Write the email newsletter once a week
Head up administrative duties, including publishing schedule, budgets, and other organisational spreadsheets
Collaborate with the video, design, photo, and social media teams to create engaging captions, video, and assets to accompany fashion content
Delegate tasks to those undertaking work experience placements and oversee their work
Act as an ambassador for the brand

Essential skills, experience & personal attributes:
Proven experience writing and producing digital fashion content that generates traffic and builds an engaged audience
Voracious interest in fashion designers, brands, models, and other emerging creative talents, good cultural knowledge in other areas
Up to date and informed of movements and changes within the industry
Switched on to fashion news with a good understanding of what makes a viral fashion news story
Previous experience working in a fast-paced editorial, fashion or digital environment
Strong understanding of the Dazed readership and brand
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills as well as great time management, initiative, and keen attention to detail
Understanding of the digital publishing, fashion, and social media landscapes to then be able to contribute ideas and strategies on how we can better engage with our audience and broaden our reach
Established social footprint as a digital native with experience of leveraging social networks and other sites to source news and promote yourself
Willingness to work weekends and out of office hours during peak times such as fashion weeks
Ability to work autonomously delivering brand-aligned content that will resonate with our audience
