British Vogue is looking for a highly motivated, hard-working and creative Junior Picture Assistant who is passionate about photography and all things Vogue. The successful candidate will play an integral role in helping assist with photographic production and picture research for Britain’s biggest fashion magazine brand.
He/she will assist the Senior Photographic Editor and Deputy Photographic Editor in the day-to-day running of an extremely busy desk, from managing the diary to research tasks. The successful candidate will be a well-organised team player who works well under pressure to tight deadlines and understands the realities of shoot budgets. Well-honed picture research skills are essential as is an abundance of common sense and a keen interest in film, literature, beauty and, of course, fashion. This is a rare, entry-level internship opportunity in British Vogue’s creative team.
This is a 6 month Internship paid at the national minimum wage.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
To undertake picture research across the magazine, consistently sourcing fresh, interesting and appropriate images, quickly and to the highest standard
To assist the Senior Photographic Editor and Deputy Photographic Editor with daily desk administration
To assist with photo production across our monthly shoots
To maintain the picture desk database
To manage the desk diary, including coordination of photographer meetings and appointments
To book transport for shoots.

Reliable, punctual and efficient
An interest and knowledge of photography and fashion and the Vogue brand and its history
Photoshop and Adobe Suite skills are essential
Microsoft Excel and Word skills are essential.
