VICELAND is looking for a Junior Social Editor to join its team and effectively maintain social implementation across all key platforms. This position will be responsible for coordinating a content programming schedule that optimises content performance across our network.
This encompasses utilizing both live (Snapchat, Instagram Stories, Facebook Live) and edited/pre-recorded content (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). In addition to defining best practices and maintaining a weekly calendar, this person should also be looking at show-specific activations, partnerships, and content plans to drive buzz and viewership for show priorities.
Populate social accounts on a 24/7 schedule.
Edit headlines and copy to maximise click-through rates and increase engagement on all content.
Identify the most compelling visuals to accompany content, and package those for effective sharing.
Coordinate a content programming schedule that optimises content performance across our network.
Identify trends and behaviours pertaining to output and use insights to inform future planning and optimise scheduling.
Create social activation plans for major tent-pole content activations.
Liaise with Head of Social and Heads of Marketing on a regular basis to report on performance.
Plan and maintain social publishing calendar, balancing brand, show, and campaign content across all channels including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Drive growth against weekly and monthly targets to keep building our audience and cross-platform video views and to meet / exceed revenue targets.
Report on performance for video content in collaboration with the research team.
Ideate short form and social video concepts to accompany new programming on the channel.
Inject fun and brand tone-of-voice into socials.
Qualifications & Experience
Must be fluent in all social platforms, incl. engagement best practices, formats, specs and paid promotion opportunities.
Minimum one year experience.
A demonstrable knowledge of all major social media platforms.
Experience of using Google Analytics, Chartbeat and other reporting tools.
Experience working with creative teams, especially video editors and designers.
Passionate about engaging audiences.
To undertake such other tasks including general administrative duties as may be required from time to time.
