We are looking for a Lead Developer to manage a team of developers on a large-scale complex arts and research partnership, delivering an innovative multi-platform experience using live motion capture.
‘Immersive performances of the future' is one of four recently announced Audience of the Future projects funded by Innovate UK. A new consortium of 15 partners (including RSC, Philharmonia Orchestra, Manchester International Festival, Punchdrunk, Marshmallow Laser Feast, several universities and technology companies) will work together to explore what it means to perform live through multiple channels and the future of real-time immersive performance connected across multiple stages. The research and development work will lead to a main demonstrator performance to be delivered in June 2020.
We are looking for someone who can work with creative teams across disciplines to help develop technical solutions to allow live performance to be delivered to multiple channels, particularly to immersive real-time platforms. Experience in VR/AR developing on Unreal and C++ are essential.
As we are developing entirely new systems to broadcast live performance, we are looking for someone who is creative, collaborative and solutions focused.
All applications should be made online using the RSC website. Deadline for applications is 27 August 2019.
First round interviews will take place the week commencing 2 September 2019.
We are committed to building a diverse workforce and welcome applications from all individuals.
