Top Gear is looking for a Line Producer to join the Senior Management team of this global brand. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Producers on overseeing all pre-production, managing the entire budget, filming in challenging environments in the UK and around the world, managing a complex post production process as well as overseeing the studio element of the show.
The programme continues to deliver ambitious high quality content which will test all of your skills as a Line Producer. You will be key in making crucial decisions that are often in challenging circumstances which will importantly require you to show a cool head and strong leadership when things are not going to plan.
The most important quality is to be a constant support to the Executive Producers and to work side by side with them in striving to deliver the very best programme to a worldwide audience whilst at the same time continually growing and creating new ideas and therefore pushing the boundaries of new content to the limit. You have to be a forward thinking and have a positive outlook and most importantly be able to take setbacks in your stride. It is an amazing opportunity to join a very ambitious Top Gear team and expand your own knowledge to the full.
Role Responsibility You must be comfortable working at a high level and capable of challenging decisions when required. Most importantly be quick at establishing yourself within a very experienced production team along with a highly skilled craft crew who have extensive Top Gear filming experience. The team look to the Line Producer as the integral person in driving production creating a working atmosphere and communicating to all in a clear and precise manor.

Are you the right candidate?
  • Prior experience in foreign expedition style filming. Extensive management of large crews in remote locations and prior experience in dealing with numerous agencies including fixers, embassies and other foreign agencies
  • A proven track record of working with and supporting high profile talent.
  • Previous experience of magazine style programming or formats with varied inserts/films useful. Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at any one time; driving forward progress and ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are clearly communicated. Rescheduling and presenting new options where necessary.
  • Demonstrable experienced in leading contract negotiations and dealing with complex insurance and business affairs issues.
  • Confidence in large budget management. Adjusting forecasts and predicted spends, overseeing large amounts of foreign spend and negotiating unusual/one off deals where necessary for film requirements.
  • Driving savings, efficiencies and continually reviewing working practices to ensure best practice and on screen value for money.
