In the UK and Ireland, Acast works with the regions' biggest podcasts including: Off Menu, Sh*gged Married Annoyed, The Blindboy podcast, Table Manners with Jessie Ware, Growing Up With gal-dem and the Adam Buxton podcast, as well as global publishers including the Guardian, Financial Times, News UK and the Economist to name a few.

We are now looking for an experienced leader and operator to join us as Managing Director for the UK and Ireland. We are the market leader in this region, and we are looking for someone to absolutely ensure we maintain & grow this position in 2022 and beyond. You will oversee all market operations; podcaster (including publisher) partnerships, ad-sales, and marketing. You will be in charge of the execution of the overall business strategy, local budgets and P&L, and be responsible for our UK & IE-based staff, their wellbeing, our culture in this market and the UK & IE office space. You are supported by our global teams and C-suite across Stockholm and NYC. The role is located in 180 Soho Works, London and reports into the Chief Operating Officer, who is based in New York.

Your responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

  • Execute company, sales, content & marketing strategy for each market within the region set by our C Suite and Global Heads of Sales, Content, and Marketing
  • You will have full P&L & reporting accountability for UK & IE
  • Responsible for all UK & Ireland staff and office spaces
  • Consistent communication with global strategy leads (Business/ Content/ Sales/ Marketing/ People Ops) for reporting and progress
  • Working with the People team to establish and maintain a healthy, thriving work culture where people's well-being is central
  • Support and align with the day-to-day work of Content, Sales, Marketing, Finance, People and Operations teams in all markets
  • Ensure all team members in the region are up to date and connected to the company vision and goals
  • Bring a positive, supportive attitude and lots of passion for podcasting and the people
  • Be able to operate at the highest level as external ambassador

You have extensive experience running sales or creator based large teams or business, with excellent knowledge of the media, marketing, creator and publisher landscape.
