This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced communications team in a varied and dynamic role. You will be working on our sports fundraising and brand communications, supporting our team’s efforts to increase the profile of Prostate Cancer UK to our target audiences. You will also use creative communications to help increase the number of supporters and prospective supporters to engage with the cause and help stop prostate cancer being a killer.
In any one day, you could be creating marketing collateral for our football partners (e.g. the League Managers Association), to writing tweets and Facebook posts to build the profile of our “Man of Men” badge to the golfing community, or drafting plans for a cultivation events featuring a famous footballer. Your focus will be sports marketing (including audience focused copy writing, producing content for social, event management and managing our marketing channels effectively), but you’ll work with and be supported by teams across Prostate Cancer UK and be prepared to step in to other projects across our community, corporate and events fundraising teams too.
We’re looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and highly organised individual, ideally with experience in marketing or communications, and the charity or health sector with a passion for sport. You’ll be a real ‘people person’ and will feel equally comfortable speaking to supporters about their experience with prostate cancer or supporting the charity.
You’ll be confident at building strong working relationships, and will happily use your expertise to support your team-mates. You’ll always have an eye out for an opportunity to promote our work to a new audience, or to inspire our existing supporters.
We have a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support, we can make prostate cancer a disease the next generation of men need not fear. Be part of a team that will put an end to prostate cancer being a killer.

We provide everything you’d expect from a professional organisation – competitive benefits package, contributory pension scheme, life insurance, childcare vouchers, and season ticket loan – but much more besides. Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we fight for a better future for men.
