Christie’s is looking for a Middleweight Graphic Designer to join our Proposals team in London, with experience in both print and digital.
Proposals is a small but high-performing team who produce bespoke proposals which convince clients to sell their works of art with Christie’s. In close cooperation with the project manager/proposal writer, you will lead the design and creative process for each proposal from the initial briefing through to execution, artworking and production. In addition to proposal books, you will design digital proposals, luxury presentation boxes, slide presentations, illustrated letters, posters and other pitch collateral. This is a high-impact role which contributes to winning the most important masterpieces and collections offered each season.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with large documents under the pressure of tight and fixed deadlines (a few hours to a couple weeks), juggling multiple projects at once and finding creative solutions when challenges arise. A collaborative and flexible approach is essential, as you must be able to incorporate feedback from multiple internal stakeholders, often at the last minute, and effectively manage the relationship with our print supplier. The ideal candidate will have a high standard of print experience and be able to offer new skills that expand our digital design capabilities.
You will have the creative support of one other proposal designer in London, a global group of proposal designers in Paris, New York and Hong Kong, as well as Christie’s award-winning Creative marketing team. You will have many opportunities to flex your creative range and produce bespoke designs tailored to each client and work of art, working within Christie’s versatile brand guidelines. Our team is agile and constantly finding new ways to improve our products and our processes – we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and will contribute to this culture. We value good ideas, ingenuity, a ‘can do’ attitude and a good sense of humour!
