Jones Knowles Ritchie is seeking a Full-Time Motion Designer to join our growing creative team. As a Motion Designer, you will be responsible for creating and using video and animated 2- and 3-dimensional motion assets to elevate brand narratives across a variety of mediums and channels.
You will identity the best techniques and methods to communicate brand narratives and explore different approaches to expand our team’s capability and expertise.
Creates compelling motion content through 2D and 3D applications to amplify and elevate our ideas often under own discretion.
Illustrates a unique point of difference to create emotion, using all aspects of a brand’s visual, verbal and visceral language.
Raises aesthetic levels by leveraging a strong creative eye and acute attention to detail.
Evaluates all work against Lead Film & Motion Designer and the standards of the department.
Open to constructive feedback.
Studies and understands a brands core values to accurately reflect ideals and brand positioning.
Proactively looks for opportunities to push creative boundaries for the benefit of the brand.
Creates ownable material to uniquely streamline the JKR portfolio.
Other duties may include key framing and typography.
Understands brand narrative and demonstrates the benefits of film for the brand and JKR.
Proposes ideas for the most suitable style, format and approach to the brief without sacrificing content or narrative.
Can follow provided story to reach intended vision to transmit ideas across digital platforms.
Works closely with Creative Services to understand the full diet of work and seeks out key opportunities to deliver the best work.
Displays an understanding of the technical parameters in regard to capabilities and time constraints.
Innovation & Capability Building
Pushes creative and technical boundaries, by seeking out new innovations in equipment, software, and techniques.
Understands the roles of the wider team to leverage other viewpoints and skill sets to delivery timely solutions.
Open to creative feedback and pushback.
Works with the Creative Team in early stages of development to help inspire trajectory based on the capabilities of the department.
Constant communication with Lead Film & Motion Designer
Develops tight partnerships with internal teams to get the best possible outcomes.
Educates the technical process to help others better understand how the department functions.
Actively and openly responds well to feedback.
Voices concerns on overwhelming projects.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication and time-management skills.
Communicates accurate timelines for project completion without sacrificing quality.
Offers and receives honest and constructive feedback.
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Audition, After Effects)
Technical knowledge of Cinema 4D (Octane Render and/or Redshift), Houdini
Knowledge of Procedural Engines (M.A.S.H, C.O.F.F.E.E, etc.)
Detail oriented and ideas driven.
Deliver projects from concept to production within required time frames.
Curious and eager to learn.
Can articulate ideas both visually and verbally
Able to work under own discretion and initiative
Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
