The Nickelodeon UK Network consists of four core channel brands; Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, Nick Jr. and Nick Jr. Too targeting kids 4-15 years plus content carried across affiliate platforms and streaming services like P+ and Pluto. Nickelodeon is everywhere kids are; retail, consumer products, theme parks, live shows, VOD, social media and websites with a broad range of bespoke digital content from games to short-form.
The Multiplatform team is responsible for the sourcing, scheduling and management of all Nickelodeon’s non-linear content across a number of platforms. It is one the teams that make up the Programming department.
What will you be doing?
  • Handle the day-to-day operations of Nickelodeon’s non-linear scheduling for all channels (Nickelodeon, Nicktoons and Nick Jr.); compiling and distributing the required Metadata for each platform partner, as per their specifications and set deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the Nickelodeon Channel Planning team and the Editor of Viewer Access & Listings to ensure integrity of the non-linear schedules and run schedule amendments.
  • Create and distribute required promotional image assets for each platform partners.
  • Complete and distribute accurate weekly blackout reports.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Nickelodeon’s operational, technical, legal and planning teams.
  • Review and revise operational workflows where necessary, driving towards greater efficiency and output.
  • Work closely with Multi-Platform Content Manager to build strong working relationships with each of the platform partners’ editorial and operations teams.
  • Work with platform partners to ensure Nickelodeon content is as impactful as possible across platforms, actively seeking out merchandising opportunities for priorities.
  • Track and review VOD competitive landscape to develop and improve non-linear programming strategies that drive audience growth.
  • Analyse metrics and use data to strategize new non-linear programming initiatives to optimize VOD viewing.
  • Alongside Multiplatform Content Manager, support the implementation and management of new platforms and VOD initiatives.
  • Alongside Multiplatform Content Manager, lead and maintain Nickelodeon’s Download-To-Own (DTO) services, ensuring revenues are improved.
  • Embrace the ‘One Paramount’ approach and encourage collaboration and team working.
  • Be an ambassador for all Paramount channels, internally and externally.
  • Adopt and promote the Paramount values and support a culture of inclusion.
What are we looking for?
Basic qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years’ validated experience in content planning and programming, preferably within the UK market.
  • Experience developing and delivering strategic content plans across multiple platforms, and ensuring commercial requirements are met.
  • In depth understanding of rights management, rights issues and knowledge of broadcast regulatory requirements.
  • Proven understanding of the Nickelodeon brands and its key competitors.
  • Skilled at evaluating research data and an understanding of how audiences consume content.
  • Strategic competitor awareness, and shown knowledge of trends and developments in non-linear platforms essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in all formats and experience communicating plans and priorities to internal and external partners.
  • First rate multi-tasking ability.
  • Evidence of building strong, positive relationships internally and externally.
