To drive and administer the agency’s new business and marketing efforts in all areas.
Your time will be split between new business and marketing activities, although some weeks the split may lean more heavily to one side, depending on what’s going on.
The New Business and Marketing team actively seeks out company growth opportunities – gaining new clients, growing existing ones – and actively manages the Agency’s brand and reputation.
Members of the team should be engaged, friendly, forward thinking, confident team players and able to react quickly to any requests made across a variety of general projects and tasks.
Write and compile RFIs, RFPs and credentials
Aid in the development of chemistry/pitch background materials, including prospective client contact and business background research
Maintain up to date client and agency information which is ready to be used and or tailored for new business opportunities
Drive updates of case studies, films and reels
Work with the New Business Director to execute our prospecting strategy
Manage the external lead generation agency
Develop and implement the writing, design and production of materials and content for prospecting i.e. thought leadership, articles, emails, blogs, films
Update and maintain the new business database and management of our CRM programme
Help develop editorial content, press releases and thought leadership
Create distribution strategy and distribute VMLY&R news and thought leadership
Assist with media briefings, special projects, content planning, etc.
Help implement the marketing plan
Create strategy / content for VMLY&R owned channels in line with overall business strategy
Monitor owned channels KPIs and drive optimization
Organize and write weekly / monthly employee communications
Support with speaking opportunity, sponsorship and events hosted by the agency
Create brand collateral – decks, boards, photographs, video, etc.
Maintain strong relationship with the wider VMLY&R network
Research projects/tasks and creating essentials packs for senior management
Maintain comprehensive archive of all work, case studies, bios, press cuttings, etc.
Set up job numbers, raise purchase orders, deal with suppliers and new invoices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly collaborative team member
Ability to multitask and prioritise
Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal disciplines and business groups
Extreme attention to detail, willingness to ask questions and ability to follow up
Knowledge of the advertising industry, emerging trends and innovation
Will have a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude
Min 3-5 years’ experience working in a new business and marketing department in an agency with an emphasis on content development and distribution via digital delivery platforms. You will have an excellent understanding of how to put together RFIs, credentials documents and prepare for new business meetings.

20 days’ holiday per calendar year, rising to 22 days after 2 years’ service and an additional 1 day per year up to a maximum of 25 thereafter
You will receive 3 additional discretionary days’ holiday to be taken between Christmas and New Year
Auto enrolment into the pension scheme after 3 months at 4% contribution. After one years service the company will match the contribution up to 5% upon request.
