Description

Closing Date: 11-Sep-2022

You’ll love this role if you like art, enjoy making things with your hands and want to learn new skills; and if you pay attention to detail and aren’t afraid to ask when you don’t know something. This is a fixed term role for 24 months.
The role is largely practical, though you’ll need to work with computers and deal with numbers, for example when taking accurate measurements. You’ll learn about different artists’ materials, share knowledge, and give and receive feedback. You’ll receive training in a wide range of skills, including mounting and framing works of art and installing and deinstalling them at exhibition venues. You’ll learn how to handle tools, equipment and machinery, and gain the confidence to work alongside other conservation technicians in museums and galleries.
If you’d like to know more, please attend our online open event on Wednesday 24th August from 1-2pm via the following zoom link:
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87136016321.
We’ll give a short presentation, with time for questions afterwards. Alternatively, please get in touch with Jacqueline Moon (jacqueline.moon@tate.org.uk).
Please visit: www.tate.org.uk/about/workingattate/ to create an account by registering your details or, if you are an existing user, log into your account. The closing date for the submission of completed application forms is midnight Sunday 11th September. Interviews will be held week commencing 3rd October 2022.
