We're looking for a confident and proactive Partnerships Manager to pitch and execute artist promotional campaigns with designated DSP's, to maximise streaming and download activity, market share, and drive new on-platform business opportunities for Sony Music and our artists.
The Partnerships Manager will also devise best practice and communicate it to the labels and wider company, including release strategy, DSP specific social activity and paid marketing activity.
Working alongside the Director of Digital Partnerships, you will manage Sony Music UK’s day-to-day relationship with designated DSP's, understanding their key values and priorities. The role will include:
Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders at designated DSP's including the Partnerships and Editorial teams
Maintaining strong relationships with all of Sony Music’s labels, in particular marketing, digital marketing & promo teams and across the wider company including Digital Operations and Release Planning, International Marketing and 4th Floor Creative
Contributing to the planning and strategy for new releases with attention to all necessary decisions (e.g. release timeline, content formats, social marketing strategy etc.) and generate ideas for creative executions collaboratively with label teams to maximize streams and exposure for artists
Managing the content pitch process to designated DSP's
Using data analytics to identify potential trends and opportunities with designated DSP's, and communicate these to the labels
Working with Finance to understand and analyse the company’s performance on designated accounts, looking at metrics such as subscriber numbers and market share, to ensure that budget targets are met and incremental opportunities are explored
Working collaboratively with the wider Digital Partnerships team & Catalogue team to ensure cohesive catalogue/frontline artist campaign discussions with partners
Experienced and comfortable in executing multiple, simultaneous, complex campaigns in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
Experience of account managing music/video streaming services or previous experience in a label, or at a digital music service (DSP)
Thorough understanding of the global streaming market and good relationships within the music industry
A passion for music & good understanding of multiple current genres
High level of verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate complex processes to non-technical people
Problem solving abilities
