This is a broad ranging, generalist position to include transport bookings, mail sorting, courier bookings, trolley rounds and window service.
The successful candidate will need to have customer facing skills as well as being a team player. They need to be able to deal with transport bookings, booking UK and International couriers. He/She will be responsible for ensuring that the minimum cost routes and vehicles are used. Knowledge of the transport industry and PC’s would be ideal.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
To effectively use all Condé Nast IT systems and equipment to log and deliver packages in and around all Condé Nast properties.
To assist and cover the provision of a highly efficient passenger car and courier booking service always ensuring that a cost effective and sensible approach is used to meet Condé Nast staff requirements.
To ensure that all incoming post and packages are sorted promptly and delivered promptly in the correct manner whilst also dealing with all internal mail and franking of outgoing mail to meet customer’s expectations.
To assist in the distribution of magazines as well as be responsible for stock control of tea points, stationary and Logistics supplies.
To ensure that security of loading bay, Logistics office and entry to the building is strictly controlled and at all times. To ensure the Health and Safety controls in the area are upheld along with regular cleaning duties.
To ensure that telephone calls and visitors to the Logistics department are answered in a timely, courteous manner, with a high level of customer service and professional response at all times.
To assist in the Logistics training of existing and new members of staff to ensure there isn’t a service level drop in times of holiday or absence. To communicate any issues upwards to their line management.
To undertake all reasonable ad hoc tasks as requested by their management structure
Essential Skills & Requirements
Good standard of English.
Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office package.
Physically active with high energy and an enthusiastic attitude.
Customer service focused.
