The Opportunity
We're looking for a PR Manager to drive and execute the consumer and corporate communications strategy at Trouva. The candidate must have experience planning and implementing PR strategy, driving media relations, achieving strong coverage and have a brilliant understanding of the media landscape.
You’ll need the ability to think creatively, push boundaries and be extremely enthusiastic about the work you do. The PR Manager will report to the Creative Brand Director and sit within the Brand Marketing team in our office in London. They will be able to work independently, reactively and proactively, leading on PR communications for the business.

What you'll do:
  • Planning a PR strategy that brings brilliant ideas to life, tells our brand story and makes Trouva famous in both consumer and corporate fields
  • Lead on the development and implementation of PR plans to drive brand awareness predominantly in the UK but also in Germany
  • Overall responsibility for feature and product placement. You’ll bring an existing network of journalist contacts from the interiors, lifestyle and womenswear worlds and be confident in your ability to build relationships with technology and retail media
  • Keep in touch with trends in our sector to identify press opportunities and the key moments we should be capitalising on. Possess the ability to build strong narratives and concepts that will drive media coverage
  • Develop compelling written content for press releases, Q&As, talking points, briefings, and media pitches
  • Managing all media inbounds including spokespeople requests, imagery and product samples for shoots as well as gifting for VIPs
  • Daily proactive and reactive dialogue with relevant media, influencers, and personalities in our key markets (UK and Germany)
  • Plan, budget and host press days
  • You’ll contribute to setting quarterly objectives with clear KPIs for PR, which play into the Brand Marketing team and company-wide reporting. You’ll be in charge of monthly coverage media reports and updating internal teams as well as our boutiques

Who you are:
  • You have 5-6+ years of directly relevant PR experience, with a preference for candidates who have both agency and in-house experience
  • Including, but not limited to, editorial product placement and press office, social and e-commerce PR innovations
  • You’re a thinker as well as a doer. You can think big-picture and also roll up your sleeves to get the job done in a startup environment, focusing on efforts that add significant value and long-term advancement to our overarching communications goals
  • You’re a self-starter. You can recommend and initiate projects with minimal direction
  • You’re a relationship builder and a media relations pro. You’re nurturing relationships with agency partners and your own media contacts
  • You have excellent verbal communication skills and you’re great under pressure, possessing the ability to act as a company spokesperson
  • You’re creative. You’re able to conceptualise newsworthy moments, develop story ideas even when the hook isn’t obvious to most, and follow through with pitches that land great coverage
  • You’re a skilled writer, comfortable developing content for a variety of purposes and require limited edits on any type of written task
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Passionate about interiors and independent boutiques (but that’s a given!)
  • Confident and upbeat personality with both your colleagues, media contacts and agency partners
