The PR Manager, EMEA is responsible for ensuring we have healthy and impactful relationships with key media outlets/publishers and that we are building brand awareness in our EMEA region and markets. This role be part of a Regional Marketing team responsible for growing and developing opportunities in our EMEA targets, but also for liaising with our Global Brand team which will support Regional efforts with Global roadmaps, campaigns and support.
The ideal candidate will love pitching creative stories to key publishers, outlets, and partners across our partner, corporate and consumer side of the business. They will love developing relationships, fostering those relationships and representing a brand they truly believe in.
Build and manage PR relationships with influential print, digital and broadcast journalists or thought leaders in EMEA, as well as influencers across social media.
Be the eyes and ears of trends, developments, or big opportunities that develop in any of our EMEA markets – bringing them back to inform both Regional and Global decisions.
Support and partner on our broader PR strategy and communications goals at Skyscanner at the Global level.
Navigate proactive press relations, crisis comms, and reactive press incidents with composure, authenticity and integrity.
Ensure we are building a steady drum of coverage that positions us in good standing.
Partner with data stakeholders to bring our data to the masses in exciting ways that drive audience growth and coverage.
Keep a pulse on our category and be the thought leader on our broader Communications team on new trends we should consider in our larger strategy.
Be a champion of our brand values and proactively identify unique ways for us to share these values with the world.
Partner with the Brand team to think through PR measurement, value and return on investment both in the short term and long-term views.
A number of years of PR experience, preferably representing a Regional team or organizing across both Regional and Global marketing teams.
Proven track record of successfully building, fostering and leveraging press relationships.
Significant experience building brand awareness, generating traffic and links through PR efforts.
Driven measurable impact and results across a high performing communications team.
A superb writer and big creative who can distil complex topics into simple and compelling narratives.
Passion for consumer tech and the travel industry.
